hokies, fine, so i am excited
BUT only cos' it's food.
i began really looking forward to my short trip of two weeks when vinod kummar got me started on my food list. it seems, to accompany me on this food journey, it would accost him his death, death from overeating. eating here is quite a chore, especially when it's overpriced and not as tasty, and when one starts dreaming of the chay tao kweh, char kweh teow, hainanese chicken rice... i miss the portions, the quality good food, the cheap prices, and most of all, the availability at most places and at any time.
to my fellow singaporeans who have never lived overseas for an extended period of time, you REALLY REALLY do not know what you are missing. even the service provided at hawker centres, the auntie with the big hair and gaudy dressing yelling, "MILO-peng, ji puey" is a comfort.
