photo.hog.post
firstly i would like to warn whoever reads this, that it might take forever for the page to load due to the numerous photos posted. i apologise. well, happy easter to all (yes, slightly more than a week ago, but i needed an opening for my easter bunny photo). a brief photo-log of what i was up to and i'm still somewhat going on strong on my 'do-something-weekly' journey. well, maybe not this week. so exhausted from what, i don't really know either. been feeling really overwhelmed by stuff and activities?
NATIONAL GALLERY OF VICTORIA
next stop. wanted to take pics, but the exhibition curator(?) was scary.the b/w photos were awesome. but really, b/w photos can never look bad.
moving on, a furniture exhibition. wasn't in our planned stops, but why not?JOSEF HOFFMANN
sitzmachine
brings back my m60 memories. the furniture piece that had to be continuously repaired.if you watched ugly betty's ep of hotel reviewing,
yeap, something similar happened with a MUCH heavier man.
EERIO AARNIO
globe chair
i must admit, i heard of him first only cos' he was designing a range for T&Co. last yearFRANK O. GEHRY
wiggle side chair
checked out golden screens. they were all from japan. i was sneaking pictures. hence, the fuzziness.the labour and passion put into it, a feat.
i wish we were back in the days where people still made stuff by hand with such attention.
the details, the reflection of times.
there weren't a lot of limited edition sneaks.but to see the periods sneakers went through. interesting.
nikes. adidas. vans. volley. bapestas. puma. others too...
shrine of remembranceto remember the people who died in the war. which war, i can't really recall.
the only shot which turned out well enough, due to poor light, windy conditions.
there was this statue of a boy though. it really scared me.
in between the three days of trying to recover and reinstall/update my once dead computer, i took a breather. sitting in front of my laptop throughout easter wasn't exactly the plan. oh yes, if you are totally clueless and wondering, my laptop crashed on good friday. how ironic.
BMW CAR CLUB EVENT @ DOCKLANDS
this is the beemer i plan on owning. the green model (not cos it's green k). you can never go wrong with a vintage car.
had a total starbucks craving, but the car event was gonna be over in 20 mins.rushed from the city and guess what, starbucks really is everywhere.
nice weather + mocha frappucino with whipped cream = pleasurei really don't know how to spell frappe in full. do you?
this seats weirded me out. there were just two of them.individual seats, that can be swung 360deg. hmm. odd.
z and i had a breakfast craving on easter monday. yes, for one of those aussie brekkies. there was a good place near home, but we weren't that lucky, and brekkie that day ended in the form of KFC. really, i don't get why fast food is so expensive here. it's the same portion back in singapore furthermore. anyhow, after some online searching on z's part, we decided to try out a recommended place to really satisfy that brekkie craving.
MART 130. middle park.
no idea where that is? it's ok. it's really obscure even though it's near st. kilda's road. this place was really directly in front of a tram stop, and for the first time, a tram stop wasn't on the road. it's hard to describe, but if you ever did go there, you'll get what i mean. stole the pics of z's blog. breakfast was fulfilling. next stop, green grocer here we come...
brekkie is served.scrambled eggs, spinach, mushroom and something sauce on toast
salmon with poached egg and hollandaise sauce on toast
IN ALL RANDOMNESS,
this were stuff done some time back, but never really put them up so, yup.
my first attempt from a cookbook.cabbage-tomato soup with
only meat i had in the freezer.
